Quando iniciamos nossa jornada, lá em outubro, tínhamos planejado a primeira parte da viagem até meados de novembro, pois não queríamos engessar nosso roteiro. Queríamos aproveitar livremente. Ir para um lugar e se gostássemos, ter a opção de ficar mais 2-3 dias, ou quem sabe um mês. Então acabamos comprando as passagens até o retorno para Tailândia, de onde continuaríamos a viagem pelo sudeste asiático e Oceania.
Porém, como nem sempre tudo sai como planejado, imprevistos acontecem. Sejam eles bons ou ruins (neste caso foi bom). O Maurício acabou recebendo uma proposta de emprego em Portugal através do Linkedin. O primeiro contato aconteceu quando ainda estávamos na Tailândia. A conversa foi evoluindo, a proposta ficando interessante e começamos a ponderar seriamente sobre a oportunidade. Pensamos, discutimos, refletimos prós e contras e decidimos encarar o desafio. Após diversos emails trocados e umas tantas outras conversas pelo Skype, era hora de mudar os planos e deixar a vida nos levar. Porque não? #PartiuEuropa.
O projeto seria pontual, cerca de 2 meses. Apesar do inverno na Europa estar começando, isto era uma das coisa que estávamos procurando evitar, vimos que não seria um grande problema, pois sabíamos que Lisboa não tem um inverno tão rigoroso. Tínhamos em mente que poderíamos trabalhar e aproveitar para conhecer Portugal e alguns outros países vizinhos.
E lá fomos nós rumo à Europa :)
Chegamos em Lisboa dia 17/11 e permanecemos por lá até dia 16/01. Passamos o Natal em Porto, Reveillon em Madrid, visitamos um amigo na França, fizemos um monte de coisa legal neste período. Valeu pela experiência profissional e pessoal. Com o final do projeto, era hora de pegar a estrada novamente. Apesar do frio do inverno europeu, vamos aproveitar a oportunidade para conhecer algumas cidades históricas. Já que estamos aqui mesmo, um pouco de frio não vai fazer tão mal assim ;)

How we ended up in Europe?
When we started our trip in October, we had planned the first part of our trip until mid-November because we didn't want to get stuck to a script. We wanted to enjoy freely. We would like to go to a place and if we liked it, we could have the chance of stay another 2-3 days, even a month. So we ended up buying the tickets to return to Thailand, where we would continue our journey in the southeast Asian and Oceania.
However, like everything doesn't always follow as planned, unforeseen happen. Whether good or bad (in this case was good). Mauricio ended up getting a job offer in Portugal via Linkedin. The first contact came when we were still in Thailand. The conversation happened, the proposal was getting interesting and we begin to seriously ponder the opportunity. We thought, discussed, reflected pros and cons and decided to face the challenge. After several emails and a lot of conversations over Skype, it was time to change the plans and let the life take us. Why not?
The project would be punctual, about 2 months. Despite the winter in Europe is starting, this was one thing we were trying to avoid, it wouldn't be a big problem, because we knew that Lisbon has no several winter. We had in mind that we could work and get to know Portugal and some other countries around.
So we went to Europe
We arrived in Lisbon on 17th of November and stayed there until day 16th of January. We spent Christmas in Porto, New Year's Eve in Madrid, visited a friend in France, did a lot of cool stuff in this period. Ir was great for the professional and personal experience. With the end of the project, it was time to hit the road again. Despite the cold European winter, we take the opportunity to visit some historic towns. Since we're right here, a little cold wouldn't be that bad;)
